Well it finally happened. The paranoid mom finally signed one of her boys up for football. So away we go!

The saga of the pony league championship

So here's the deal with the pony league championships. The boys had an undefeated season up until they met the Cubs. The first time they tied so both teams were undefeated. The second time we met them we lost. We met them a second time and won. When we met them in tournament play they were in first place and had gotten a buy. We won! Yeah, but the story is not over. The Cubs had to either win every game or if they lost again they would be out of the running. (double elimination ) Since they had not lost any games (except to us) let alone two in a row, we knew we would be seeing them again for the big championship game. It was a nail biter. They were up by the 3rd inning. They had last ups in the 4th inning and we were winning by just 1 run. Yikes. Our little pitcher struck out the last hitter and we won. I am glad because I really don't think my heart could have taken any more.

The Parade

As part of their victory the boys got to be in the 4th of July Parade.

April saw Steph in the play Annie Get Your Gun. It was wonderful. This is her with her friend Brittney. They have been friends since the third grade. This is the ? number of productions they have been in together. The "together" photo is now tradition.

The death of Scurry

Well it finally happened. Scurry the dwarf hamster is dead. He was a good pet and friend to his master Jacob. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday April 21st. He will be missed.

Chris Court Date

Well it finally came. Chris sentencing hearing. It was awful!! They took him away in handcuffs right from the courtroom. He had too many failed drug tests to be able to stay out of jail. He will be there for 120 days. His hopes of having work release will not be realized as the Judge rightfully asumed that he would probably spend that time doing drugs instead of working. I hope anyone who reads this will pray for us and for Chris. He needs the Lord even if he doesn't know it.

Steph was chosen to earn a STAND t-shirt at school. You have to be nominated by a teacher to receive it.

Found Pioneer Ancestor

I am so excited that I found the journal of a mormon pioneer ancestor. Up until about 10 years ago I didn't even know I had pioneer ancestors. And now to find a journal from his trek with the Mormon Battalion. I ordered it and cannot wait to read it!!
